It must be noted that the Israeli Occupation Authorities are imposing strict rules on water harvesting in the area. The Israeli Water Company, Mikrot, is monopolizing the water gathering rights in the West Bank rendering many villages suffering from extreme shortage of water despite standing over massive ground water sources.
An Nassariya is just an example of a Palestinian village which suffers from extreme lack of water while the Israeli prevent any digging of wells.Mikrot greedy water gathering and the spread of its water pumps depleted the water sources and rendered the salt percentage higher than usual leaving it useless. This initiates a red alert in regard to the village agricultural future, eventually, the village existence.
