Details:
The Israeli Occupation Authorities issued demolition orders against tents and structures in Um Zaytouna, northern Yatta, Hebron Governorate. The orders were issued by the Israeli Occupation so-called “Higher Organization Council – the Subsidiary Inspection Committee on April 13, 2011. The orders were issued under the pretext of building without permits and demanded from the owners returning the area to its status quo within a week or else they will be forced to pay for the demolition costs in case the Israeli Authorities carried out the demolitions which seemed to be inevitable.

According to the orders, the Israeli Authorities handed the owners previous stop-work orders that were ignored. The orders stated “the Committee is convinced that the structures were built without permits and that the owners must demolish the structures immediately.”
It must be noted that LRC has reported aggressions and demolition orders issued against Um Nir; follow the link to read the report.
Mahmoud abu Taha (40), stated to an LRC Observer:” the colonists arrange provocative picnics in which they swim and play in the water springs that supply the village with water.” He added that such picnics have increased during the Jewish holidays. He pointed out that the purpose of such orders is driving the Palestinians out of the village in order to make it easier to take over it.
