The victims stated to an LRC observer: ‘the way the [colonists] ravaged the trees shows how brutal they are. The colonists were racing to cut branches and inflict as much damage as possible in an unbelievable way. The area has been targeted by the colonists for a long time; the eastern part of Jalud is subject to colonial activity. Nevertheless, I dedicated a great deal of time and effort to plant my lands with olive to instill myself and protect the lands that is 300 meters away from already confiscated areas. My sons and I carried water to the field everyday despite receiving numerous death threats; unfortunately, the day has come to see my land in this state. However, I am determined to re-plant the land to protect it from further attacks‘.

The eastern parts of Jalud have been set as a target for a long time; 12 Palestinian residences stand in the area, these residences suffer from daily aggressions.

The last was held on July 17 when a group of colonists stole some furniture and impeded some houses with rocks under the protection of the Israeli Occupation Army.
