Description:

Monday , July 25th 2022, a house and an agricultural water facility belongs to citizen Hatem As-Salaymeh , on the pretext of building without a license in Wad Al-A’war south Hebron city.

Affected citizen (55) told LRC the following: “A massive army force, the so-called civil administration, and an Israeli bulldozer raided Birin village south Hebron, and ordered them to leave the house, then they threw away all their stuff and carried out the demolition.”

 The Occupation Authorities demolished a house built of bricks and steal sheets since 2019 , and has a total area of 90 m2 , he used to live at the house with his wife and 4 children – one of them suffers from a chronic illness – there are two females at the family.

The forces also demolished a cistern beneath the house with a storage capacity of (50 m3) in addition to a water pool built of reinforced concrete that was next to the house , and has a total area of 20 m3, and a bathroom built of bricks and has a total area of (2 m2).

As-Salayma said that the occupation bulldozers destroyed a number of trees that were planted near the house , of which 8 almond trees , in addition to a number of house plants.

As-Salayma said that the occupation authorities demolished the house that he had built in his land (6 dunums) to stay close to the field and take good care of it as it is a source of income for the family, explaining that the trees will suffer from lack of water once the cistern is demolished, especially that the operation is taking place during the summer .

The affected citizen said that the occupation authorities served a halt of work notice for both the house and the facility on the pretext of building without a license, they prepared a legal file , and file it to relevant bodies.

Noteworthy, Wad Al-‘Awar is south Hebron city , administratively related to Birin village council , it is an agricultural area that is known for its special products , bypass 356 penetrates the area.
