Az-Zawiya village Council Head Mahmoud Moqady told LRC:

“Wad Injasat is a strategic location that connects Az-Zawiya to The Occupied village of Kafr Qassim behind the green line, after the construction of the Annexation and Expansion Wall in 2003 accessing and cultivating the targeted lands became very difficult. The occupation now confiscates more lands in order to take over the whole area for future colonial projects.

The annexation and expansion wall ate up 597 dunums of Az-Zzwiya lands , and isolated 4228 dunums, most of these lands are completely controlled by  the Israelis.

The Israeli Occupation Army confiscated vast areas from Az-Zawiya lands and transformed them into training and firing zones, while the Israeli authorities revealed schemes to establish a cemetery and an industrial zone , consequently most of the village lands became threatened.
