Notices and military orders target structures at Ghzaiwi and Al-Khalidiya south Yatta / Hebron governorate

 

 

Violation: Halt of Work and demolition notices.

Date: June 8th 2020.

Location: Ghzaiwi and Al-Khalidiya – Yatta / Hebron governorate.

Perpetrators: The Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.

Victims: people of the village.

Description:

Monday , June 8th 2020 , the Israeli Occupation authorities issued halt of work and demolition notices for citizens in Ghzaiwi and Al-Khalidiya areas south Yatta , on the pretext of building without a license.

An army force accompanied by the building and organization officer in the civil administration raided the area , and went to the targeted houses and facilities , the building officer signed the notices and hanged them on the targeted structures.

First: Final demolition orders:

The following citizens received notices:

  • Citizen Qassim Aby Tahfa: Received a final demolition order numbered (60900) , under which the occupation decided to carry out the demolition within 7 days, the notice targeted an under construction room , with a total area of (20 m2) , built late 2019 , in his agricultural land at Al-Ghzaiwi area. Noting that In January 13th 2020, the occupation authorities delivered a halt of work notice for the same room.

  • Citizen Khaleel Raba’e: Received a final demolition order numbered (60950) which targets a building built of Cement with a total area of (280 m2) in Al-Ghzaiwi area , the structure is divided into two parts , one of them is an apartment inhabited by a family of 15, and the other part is used as a store and a cattle breeding barn. In a recent notice, the occupation authorities gave the owner 30 days to carry out the demolition, noting that the occupation gave the owner a halt of work notice for this facility in January 13th

  • Citizen Ahmad Dababsa: Received a demolition notice numbered (60951) that targets an agricultural facility at Al-Ghaziwi area , Cow barn with a total area of (1000 m2) built late 2019 , Dababsa was given 30 days to carry out the demolition . Noting the Dababsa received a halt of work notice in January 13th

Noteworthy, the owners applied for licenses for their houses and facilities right after they received halt of work notices , but the occupation- as expected- refused to provide licenses , soon later they issue demolition notices.

Halt of Work Notices:

The Occupation authorities also issued halt of work notices for houses and facilities in “Ghzaiwi and Al-Khalidiya” area , the notices ordered the immediate stoppage of construction works, and set June 21st as the date of the subcommittee session in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structures.

The targeted houses belong to:

  • Mohammed Makhamra: Received a halt of work notice numbered (00390) targeting an under construction room built of bricks with a total area of (25 m2) .

  • Na’im Shatat: Received a halt of work notice numbered (00389) targeting a house with a total area of 70 m2 in Al-Khalidiya area , built since 2019 , and inhabited by a family of 5.

  • Mahmoud Shatat: Received a halt of work notice numbered (00388) for a house built of bricks and strengthened cement , attached by a bathroom, with a total area of 70 m2 in Al-Khalidiya area , and was supposed to be a home for a family of 6 people.

  • Hassan Shatat : Received a halt of work notice numbered (00387) that targets a water harvesting cistern built since 2017 in Al-Khalidiya area , with a total area of 90 m3.
