Demolition and confiscation of number of facilities in Al-Auja falls / Jericho governorate

Description:

A massive army force accompanied by a vehicle from the Israeli occupation civil administration and number of military bulldozers raided Arab Aj-Jahaleen and Al-Ka’abneh Bedouin communities in Al-Auja falls north Jericho Monday January 6th 2020 , and without any preceding notices the occupation carried on a mass demolition operation , leaving number of residential rooms and barracks destroyed , noteworthy the targeted structures were a donation from the European Union  through Ma’an development center.

At the beginning, the occupation forces raided Arab Al-Hraizat Bedouin community where the occupation demolished six metal rooms , a residential barracks , two outer bathrooms and sabotaged an electricity network then confiscated its parts , the occupation officer wrote a “confiscation military notice” for all of the targeted five families.

One of the victims , Jamal Fraijat told LRC reporter:

“We have been living in Al-Auja falls for more than 40 years on lands that are registered with a Tapu , and were targeted only once before in 1999 , we managed to get a precautionary order from the Israeli supreme court to freeze the demolition orders, but recently the occupation demolished the structures and left our kids in this cold rainy weather.”

Then, the occupation  forces headed towards “Abu Kharbeesh” Bedouin community , where they demolished three residential barracks   , and confiscated all  itheir parts and components without any preceding military orders , claiming that these lands are in the custody of the Israeli government.

While to the west of Al-Auja falls , the occupation demolished a residential barracks that belong to a family from Al-Ka’abneh clan , the occupation intentionally demolished the residence over the family’s head , which left Suliman Al-Ka’abneh with serious wounds, but the area’s people intervened to protect the family , the occupation forces withdrew at 5:30 pm.

Noteworthy, the victims did not receive any preceding military orders before the operation, which caused them a great shock. The following table shows more information about the damages:

Arab Aj-Jahaleen and Arab Al-Ka’abneh in “Al-Auja falls” are among the largest Bedouin communities in North Jericho , the family is inhabited by more than 45 families , who practice a basic life and depend on cattle breeding for living .
