Halt of work notices on an agricultural road and number of agricultural rooms in Jubara / Tulkarim

 

  • Violation: Serving halt of work notices.
  • Location : Jubara village south Tulkarim city.
  • Date: 05/08/2019.
  • Perpetrator: The inspection sub-committee – Israeli occupation civil administration.
  • Victims: Number of farmers from the village.

Description:

Monday, 5th of August 2019, the Israeli occupation forces accompanied by the civil administration building and organization officer raided the eastern area of Jubara village , also known as “Khallet Hmaid” which is 800 meters away from the town’s villages , the occupation put notices close to the targeted facilities , the notices targeted an agricultural road that was rehabilitated with base course and has an area of 500*4 m, and three agricultural rooms built of woods, bricks and zinc and surrounded by a fenced plot.

According to the military notices, the occupation sets the second of September for the building and organization session to decide the fate of the structure.

Jubara village council head , Mustafa Tahina told LRC reporter:

“There is an Israeli scheme to empty the area of Khallet Hmaid for the fever of colonial expansion , the occupation forces attacked the town several times during this year through demolition of houses, destroying properties and confiscation of goods, which reflects the occupation’s intention to  impose control over the area”.

LRC reported Israeli violation in Jubara village in the year 2019:

  • 16/04/2019, the occupation demolished an under construction house , that was supposed to be a home for Shehadeh ‘Azem family (5 members).
  • 09/07/2019 , the occupation notified of eviction 95 dunums.
  • 12/08/2019, the occupation confiscated an agricultural metal room.
  • 26/08/2019 , the occupation destroyed 1.5 dunums of lands, and uprooted 45 olive saplings and destroyed water lines.

About Jubara: [1]

7 km to the south of Tulkarem city , Jubara is border by Faro’un village (north), occupied territories of 1948 (west), Shofa village (east), Kafl Al-Jamal and Flamiy (south) . Its population mounts to 313 according to 2017 census.

Families of the town: Jubara, Mahmoud, Awad and Odeh. The town has a total area of 46,914 dunums , of which 73 dunums are the town’s built up area.

Israeli settlements devoured 1068 dunums of the town’s land:

  • Sal’it settlement (1977)  devourd 921 dunums and populated 441 settlers.
  • Ya’arit devoured 147 dunums.

The segregation wall devoured 1531 dunums, and isolated 12,212 dunums.

Oslo conventions divided Jubara into B and C areas:

  • B area : 29862 dunums.
  • C area: 17052 dunums.
