Description:

Monday 28/01/2019, the Israeli occupation forces set up a metal gate on about 30 meters from a bypass road close to Zuwata north Nablus, as Hafith Elawi, Zuwata village council head said.

Elawi asserted, This metal gate will obstruct people’s lives in Zuwata and surrounding villages like Ijnestia, Nesf Jubail, Beit Umarin and others , closing the road will obstruct patients’ and workers’ movement from one town to the other, or from the villages towards Nablus city.

The village is 2km to the northwest of Nablus city. It is bordered by Ijnistiya and Sabastiya from the north, Beit Iba and An-Naqura village from the west, Asira Al-Shamaliya from the east, Nablus and Beita Ina from the south

The village populated 2537 residents in 2017 census, distributed to seven main families such as: Edwan, Musa , Abu Amsha, Zawatiya, Elaiwi, Saleh and Juda.

It has a total area of 3,587 dunums, 269 of which are considered the village’s built-up area.

Oslo conventions distributed the village as the following:

A area: (921) dunums.

B area : (503) dunums .

C area: (2,163) dunums.
