Israeli occupation authorities force Jerusalemites to shut down their shops in Salaadin and Al-Sultan Suliman streets

On September 19, 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces obliged Jerusalemites to shut down their commercial stores after a member of Israel Border Police shot the kid Ayman Al-Kurd on the claim of stabbing two soldiers at Herods Gate in Jerusalem.

One merchant told Land Research Center the following:

" At 7:30 a.m. of Monday, Special Forces of Israel Police forced the owners of shops in Salaadin and Al-Sultan Suliman streets to shut down their shops in a barbaric way. Soldiers yelled at shops owners and obliged them to close their shops on the claim that a Jerusalemite kid carried out a stabbing attack at Herods Gate. Such measure is a collective punishment on all shops owners since the occupation police had no official decision to do so" Not only , police members assaulted school students on their way back homes. Some were punched in the face where others got stun grenades fired at them.
