Stop-work orders on structures in the Hebron village of Beit Ummar

Violation: serving stop-work orders

Location:  Beit Ummar- Hebron

Date:  July 19, 2015

Perpetrators: Israel Civil Administration

Victims: Sabarana and Abu Mariya families

Details:

The Israeli occupation authorities on July 19, 2015 served stop-work orders on three structures in the Hebron village of Beit Ummar.

Israel Civil Administration accompanied by a patrol from the Israeli occupation army raided the area of Beit Za’ta, east Beit Ummar, hanged the orders on structures and took photos of the place before they had left.

The order compelled a halt on construction works under the claim of unlicensed construction. August 10, 2015 was assigned as the hearing session for the Planning and Construction Committee- Israel Civil Administration in the Israeli court of Beit El to consider whether to demolish the structures or restore their previous status.

The Israeli authorities claimed that the structures’ owners have the right to apply for a building permit and to demand their legal right. Ironically, the Israeli occupation authorities mentioned, at the end of the order, that the owners will never be granted a permit. The following table shows information about the affected people by the order:
