Wall Construction in Ufarim and Beit Aryeh

 

Violation: construction of the wall section around Ufarim and Beit Aryeh colonies.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Army.

Locations: Aboud, Al Lubban, and Rantis – Ramallah.

Details:

A bulldozing campaign in the villages northwest of Ramallah has been going for a while with the purpose to building a 'security' wall around the colonies of Ufarim and Beit Aryeh. It is worthy to mention that during the last 7 years, the Israeli Occupation Army issued a number of confiscation orders designated for lands in the area.

When completed, the wall section shall devour huge areas of agricultural lands, it will also render huge areas inaccessible for the Palestinians.

Beit Aryeh colony:

It was established in 1981 over lands confiscated from Al Lubban village. Its total area nowadays is 1653 dunums. The name comes from Aryeh bin Eleazer, one of the leaders of the terrorist Herut organization. It is inhabited by 3400 colonists.

Ufarim:

A cooperative colony which was established in 1989 with a total area of 1380 dunums. It is inhabited by 870 colony.
