Violation: stop-work orders for a number of residences.

Date: January 15, 2013.

Location: Beit Einun, Sa’ir.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration.

Details:

On January 15, 2013, the Israeli Occupation Authorities handed villagers of Beit Einun 8 stop-work orders for under construction and inhabited residences in Beit Eiun. Samir Al Lahalya, one of the victims, said that officers of the Israeli Occupation Civil Administration appeared in Jarjis area and handed the orders to the owners and placed the orders on the under construction residences.

The orders said that the residences ‘were illegally constructed’ and demanded the ‘immediate stoppage of any construction’. They also set February 3, 2013, as the date of a hearing session to be held in Beit El Military Court to discuss what they described as ‘demolition or returning to the status quo’.
