The Israelis were not contempt with the demolition but they went to threaten any organization that provide the locals with aid. The residents of these communities have been subject to Israeli harassments and raids for a long time; they have also been chased away by the Israeli Environmental Protection Agency which claims that the area is a natural reserve.
