It is worthy to mention that the Jordan Valley area has been vital for the Israeli expansion plans since the Israeli Occupation of the West Bank in 1967. The Israelis consider it as the eastern borders of the ‘Israeli State’ and have not included it in any negotiations with the Palestinians. The Jordan Valley area is characterized by the availability of water and the fertile lands in addition to its biodiversity.

In order for its plans to be more viable and doable, the Israeli Occupation Authorities carried out ethnic cleansing campaigns in the area rendering even the simplest of Palestinian structures under demolition threats.
