On December 3, 2012, Israeli colonists set a car, property of Mahmoud Arjan, ablaze after breaking into abu al Asja village. They also wrote offensive statements on his residence walls. The owner said: ‘my wife awakened me at 2 in the morning saying that the car is on fire; the neighbors rushed to help and I called the Civil Defense which came to help in putting down the fire.
