The Israeli Occupation Authorities Demolish Two Tents in Susiya

Violation: demolishing two tents in Susiya.

Date: August 28, 2012.

Perpetrators: the Israeli Occupation Army.

Victim: Mohammad Mighnim.

Details:

On August 28, 2012, the Israeli Occupation Army demolished two tents in Susiya, south east of Yatta. The owner’s wife said that Israeli troops and a dozer broke into their property accompanied by workers who began the eviction of the ruminants in one of the tents and removed the contents of the other. She also said that the workers were beating the ruminants which resulted in the death of a sheep.

One of the tents was used as a barn (sheltering 30 goat and sheep) while the other was used for residential purposes, sheltering the 13-member-family. The Israeli Occupation Authorities handed the owner demolition orders for the tents on April 4, 2012. The family gave the orders to an employee in the so-called Israeli co-existence movement to defend their case but found out later that he did absolutely nothing. The tents were provided by UN OCHA after the demolition of the family residence.
