Details:
Wadi Qana was a subject for a new wave of Israeli aggressions; on July 1, 2012, a group of radical colonists set Palestinian fields in areas known as Wadi al Qit, Khallit Sabra, and Al Mintar alight.
The wind helped in spreading the fire over 70 dunums of olive fields; over 300 trees were completely burned before the arrival of the fire trucks which needed an entry permit from the Israeli Occupation Army. The lands are property of farmers of Jinsafut.

10 Israeli colonies lie over the mountain summits in Wadi Qana, these include Emmanuel, Nov Qana, Noveh Milahem, Karne Shamron, Maale Shamron, Jinat shamron, Almatan, Yakirm Nufim, and most recently, Hivat Yair which was established over 935 dunums of Private Palestinian properties.
These colonies has taken over huge areas of Palestinian lands; they also disconnected the Palestinian communities in the area. The colonies have also been the starting poit of hundreds of attacks against Palestinian farmers and crops.
