Details:
On June 6, 2012, a large Israeli force accompanied by a dozer broke into Al Ka’abna dwellings near Bardala before demolishing 3 barns. The Israeli Army justified the demolitions by saying that the structures were built in area classified ‘C’ according to Oslo Accords.

Al Ka’abna come originally from Ber Shiva area; they were deported from their lands in 1948 as part of the Israeli ethnic cleansing policy. They moved to areas in southern Hebron. Some of them moved further north to the Jordan Valley area seeking water and fertile lands. Al Ka’abna dwelling, one of the largest in the Jordan Valley area, has been targeted numerous times; huge areas were turned into closed military zones, inaccessible by the Palestinians only. Al Ka’abna dwelling near Bardal is inhabited by 6 families (49 people including 24 children).
