The Israeli Army Blocks Ghwain Entrance – Hebron city
On January 20, 2012, the Israeli Army blocked the entrance of Ghwain using rocks and earth mounds. Eyewitnesses stated that an Israeli dozer accompanied by Israeli troops plowed the only entrance for the village and then used rocks and earth mounds to completely block it.

Blocking the road added to the suffering of the people who cannot cross the earth mound using ordinary vehicles excluding tractors. Inhabitants stated that they have to cross on foot to leave the village and have any connection with the outer world. This is a breach of Article 13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights stating: Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each State. It must be noted that the Israeli occupation Army sabotaged the electricity network in the village in September 2011; in addition, the Israeli Authorities ordered the stoppage of the milling of a 2-km-long road connecting Ghwain with the main road.
