Increased attacks on sacred sites…Defiling Al Sahaba Mosaque-Hebron city
A herd of Israeli colonists violated Al Sahaba mosque in Bani Na’im by writing slogans against the prophet Mohammad and threatening Palestinians to ‘pay the price’. Imad Amr, Bani Na’im Municipality spokesman, stated to an LRC Observer: ‘on Monday, December 19, 2011, Israeli colonist wrote offensive slogans on the walls of the Mosque in the western part of the village; the slogans were signed by Yizhar, near Nablus, colonists.

The Municipality informed Hebron Governor Office, the Palestinian Police, and the Civil Coordination Office. The locals are anxious about possible attacks in the future knowing that Bani Hefer colony is only 3 km to the south of the village. It must be noted that attacks on mosques have increased significantly of late; it is suspected that these attacks are part of a scheme designated for sacred sites.

Attacks against mosques are scandalous breach of all the heavenly and human laws and ethical codes; these codes that granted the freedom to worship to all people. It says in the Holy Koran: ‘and who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques and strive toward their destruction’ sura 2, verse 114.
