The Israeli Occupation Authorities issued 11 stop-work orders against Palestinian structures in Beit ar Rush al Fauqa. The structures belong to 9 Palestinians. According to the locals, Israeli soldiers accompanied by the ‘Civil Administration’ officers showed up in the village and distributed the orders.
The Israelis claimed that the needed construction permits have not been acquired and that’s why the owner shall immediately stop any construction. It was made a clear in the orders that the Israelis have stipulated the presence of the owners in Beit El military court on March 18 and 25, 2010.
The court is supposed to discuss the possibilities of demolishing the house or return it to its status quo.
Omar Kashor, Beit ar Rush al Fauqa Council President, stated that the Israeli harassments are inescapable although most of the villagers are poor and they work extremely hard and under terrible condition in order to support their families. Kashur demanded the legal and humanitarian institutes’ action. He demanded immediate stoppage of the Israeli unjust and vicious acts against the Palestinians.
Most of the orders are issued against houses built on areas classified ‘C’ and houses which haven’t acquired the Israeli construction permits. However, construction permits were never given to Palestinians living in area ‘C’.

Order 1-6
Beit ar Rush al Fauqa:
Beit ar Rush al Fauqa is located 25 km to the south east of Hebron City. It is under the jurisdiction of Dura Town; however, all the village affairs are ran by a village council. The village contains two schools, a medical center, and a mosque. In addition, it has water and electricity networks.
The segregation wall surrounds the western part of the village; construction the wall devoured hundreds of dunums of land. Like any Palestinian village in the area, the village suffers from extreme scarcity of water especially in the summer.
