On July 20, 2017, the Israeli occupation authorities notified three houses belonging to three brothers of stop-work and construction in the village of Beit al-Roush al-Fawqa, south of Hebron governorate.

The head of the village council, Omar Kashour, told Land Research Center that a vehicle belonging to the so-called Israel Civil Administration guarded by an army patrol raided the village and arrived at the place of construction of houses, and the so-called inspector of buildings in the occupation authorities issued stop-work notices and hanged them on the targeted houses. Photos of the location were taken before the force had left the site.

According to the Israeli occupation authorities, the houses were "built without a permit" and called on the citizens to "immediately stop construction work."  August 10, 2017 was set for a hearing session of the so-called inspection subcommittee in the Israeli court of Beit El colony to consider whether to demolish the structures or restore their previous status.

The Israeli occupation notices targeted houses belonging to three brothers from the Kashour family. The houses are still in the construction phase. Construction began earlier this year and the houses are expected to be inhabited by three families (20 persons), including 10 children.

It should be noted that the Israeli occupation authorities notified several residences and structures of stop-work and demolished others during the past years. All notices and military orders come in time with the establishment of part of the apartheid wall on lands from the targeted area.

The Israeli occupation authorities aim to restrict the movement of the village's citizens, prevent the urban and geographical expansion and empty the area  in favor of colonial projects.
