A stop-work order on a workshop and a residence in Tulkarm

 

Violation: serving stop-work orders on structures

Details:

A massive force from the Israeli army accompanied by the  Planning Committee on December 12, 2014 stormed the area Shwaika in Tulkarm and handed two citizens out military orders compelling them to stop-work on a workshop and a house , which are located in the western side of the neighborhood nearby the apartheid wall.

According to the orders, owners were given a deadline until January 07, 2015 to fix the issue of their notified structure. This comes in time with Planning Committee hearing session in the court of Beit El to consider the legal status of the structures.

Continuous targeting on the area :

It should be marked that the number of residences and workshops notified with stop-work orders including the aforementioned during the years of 2013-2014 reached 15 structures, not mentioning the demolition of a house in April 2014.

The orders intensity is focused on the western side of the neighborhood, which is also nearby the apartheid wall that took over 35% of the area's lands and isolated them behind it. Noteworthy, the isolated lands are classified as plains and are planted with various crops and vegetables by people who took this craft as income source.
